Patrick Clifton is a born and raised ‘Adelaidean’ who has had an exciting career to-date, including working in Melbourne with the AFL and in New York City with the NBA, making him a Boomerang*. In 2023 Patrick made the decision to return to Adelaide and is now the Chief Operating Officer of the Adelaide Football Club where he leads the clubs finance, facilities, IT, legal, governance and risk functions. We chat to Patrick about his experience working for the AFL and the NBA, what propelled his decision to return to Adelaide, the impact Adelaide Oval has had on the CBD and what he loves about being back in Adelaide including the beach, the hills, Adelaide’s events calendar and our great wine and dining scene.
